The Story of the Traveling Lad

Once there was a lad who loves to travel. He came from of the windy lands of Gale. His parents love him and dearly give what he wants, but the lad’s heart fell in love with the roads. Guided by the wind and with his flute, he traveled east.
On the road, he learned a lot—lessons to become a great man. He crossed deserts, climb mountains, swam broad rivers and walked in the thickness of the forest, until he came to a hill named Dolor.
There she met a sad girl about same age as his. The girl was truly beautiful yet sorrow was drawn in her face. It became the passion for the lad to put a smile in the lips of the lovely maiden. He hungered to see the girl’s smiles and hear her soft laughter. The lad played everyday merry songs and jested to bring happiness to the girl. But one day, the lad confronted the girl for the roads are calling the lad.
He said, “The fruits are not yet ripe. The harvest is still far. I must travel and I can’t take you to where I am going. But please smile for me every time you are sad. And before I go, I must see the blithe curve on your lips.”
Then, the lad left. If the wind will, he’ll be back on the day when both the fruit and the harvester are prepared for the harvest.
