Everyone has something to be feared of. I have mine.
It is not the loss of the humanity of a person nor the manliness of a man to have fear on their hearts. It is but normal to have fears. A man who said to be fearless is a misnomer for the man itself.
Normally, fears are man's weaknesses. It is a voracious eater of dreams, hopes, faith, and trust. Fears are giants that overwhelm their masters. It is the darkness of every personality--the villain of the soul.
Fear sometimes can also be man's strength. It can gives man his vigor to survive, endure, and surpass the tempest. Man's fear of death, for example, enable him to evolve self-preservation instincts, allowing him to protect himself from harm.
Being courageous is not being fearless. Being courageous is the fear of being overcome by fear. Bravery is the drive to face any fear you have and the guts to over-power that fear.
I have fear. But I'm afraid of losing to that fear. Time to face those giants.
